Terms of sale

These terms apply to orders placed with Vinyl Dispatch for delivery in the United States. Vinyl Dispatch is an independent business based in the United Kingdom. Contact us at hello@vinyldispatch.com. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

The records we sell

Every record we sell is brand new, sealed and an official release. Photos are for illustration; the pressing details in the listing (format, colour, edition, number of discs) describe what you'll receive.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Delivery costs are shown in your basket and at checkout before you pay; see Shipping.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
  • If a record is listed at an obviously wrong price, we'll contact you before it ships and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Your order

  • After you pay, we email you an order confirmation. Our contract with you is formed when we confirm your order has shipped.
  • Our stock levels are updated regularly, but occasionally a record sells out before we can ship it. If that happens we'll tell you straight away and refund you in full for that record.
  • We may limit quantities per customer on limited editions, and may decline orders that look fraudulent.
  • Orders are packed and shipped by our fulfilment partners on our behalf. We remain responsible to you for your order.

Buying through Google, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok

Our records may also be listed on shopping services such as Google, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. If you buy through one of these, these terms and our shipping and returns policies apply to your order, together with that platform's own terms. The price and delivery cost shown at checkout on that platform are the ones you pay.

Shipping

We ship to the 50 US states and Washington, D.C. Orders ship within 1–2 business days, with tracking. Shipping costs $7.99 per order, free on orders of $99.99 or more. Full details: Shipping.

Returns and refunds

All sales are final: we don't accept returns of records you've changed your mind about. If your order arrives damaged, is faulty or wrong, or is lost in transit, tell us within 14 days of delivery (for lost parcels, see the timings on our returns page) and we'll replace it or refund you in full, including shipping. You can cancel an order for a full refund until it ships.

Emails

We'll email you about your order (confirmation, shipping and tracking). We only send news and offers if you've asked for them, and every marketing email has a link to unsubscribe. See our Privacy policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under US federal or state consumer law that can't be limited. Otherwise, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Events outside our control

We're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control (such as severe weather or carrier disruption), but we'll keep you informed, and you can cancel for a full refund if your order is delayed significantly.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, but this doesn't remove any protection you have under the consumer laws of the state where you live.

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
