Cookies & tracking

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that tell a service (such as Google or Meta) when a page is viewed or an order is placed. This page lists what we use and how you can control it. For how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy policy.

Strictly necessary (always on)

Needed for the shop to work, so they can't be switched off:

  • Your basket, saved in your browser's storage on your device so it's still there when you come back.
  • Shop region: remembers whether you're using our UK or US shop.
  • Your cookie choices, so we don't ask again on every page.
  • Security and payment: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and payment provider (Stripe) use cookies to protect the site and prevent fraud during checkout.

Analytics

  • Google Analytics tells us how visitors use the site (pages viewed, searches, how people found us), so we can improve it. It uses cookies and information about your device.

Advertising

These let us show our records in adverts on other sites and apps, and measure which adverts lead to sales:

  • Google tag (Google Ads and Google Merchant Center): Google Search, Shopping, YouTube and partner sites.
  • Meta Pixel: Facebook and Instagram.
  • TikTok Pixel: TikTok.

When you view a record, add one to your basket or place an order, these tags may send details such as the record, its price and the order value to the advertising partner, along with information about your device. These partners may combine it with other information they hold about you, under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

  • UK visitors: analytics and advertising cookies are only used if you agree to them. You can say no, and you can change your mind at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
  • US visitors: you can opt out of analytics and targeted advertising at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of targeted advertising.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The shop still works, but your basket may be cleared.
  • You can also manage adverts directly with each company: Google Ad Settings, Meta ad preferences and TikTok ad settings. Google Analytics also offers a browser opt-out add-on.
